My Testimony...
I was born and raised in a Christian home. I was homeschooled for most of my life until I transferred to a private Christian school in Georgia. Everything I was apart of was centered around Jesus. My family, my schoolwork, my friend groups, my dance team, everything. However, as much as I thought I loved Jesus, I didn't know Him. I lived a life full of compromise and separation from Jesus even though I encountered His presence on a regular basis. I didn't know how to steward a relationship with Jesus. All I knew was to read my Bible and be a good person. I would go from being on fire one day to not even talking to him the next. I knew I wanted a relationship with Him, but I didn't know how. It wasn't until I started going to a new church my Sophomore year of high school, that I was equipped on how to maintain my relationship with Jesus. I finally understood how to hear God's voice and how to spend time with him. I no longer live in compromise because I saw that the love of Jesus was way better than anything else. I now live in the fullness of His presence and walk side-by-side with Him every day.
How did I get into photography?
Ever since I was little I have been fascinated with cameras. Whether it was my mom's iPhone 3 or the camcorder laying around the house, I was capturing everything. However, I never saw it as something more than a hobby. I knew the lord had given me this passion for a reason, but I kept putting it on the shelf. It wasn't until the Lord called me to do YWAM (Youth With A Mission) that He took photography off of the shelf. I started doing small photoshoots with friends and they began to pay me for my work. The Lord clearly said to me "Everything that you make, put towards your fundraising. It will help grow the Kingdom." Ever since then, my photography business has not only become a way to fund my missions, but has become a mission field itself. I absolutely love getting work with my Father everyday while editing photos or meeting new people. It is such a blessing that the Great Creator Himself chose me to help capture His creation.
What am I doing now?
Currently, I am a full-time Christian missionary based in Grand Rapids, MI. I am apart of a organization called EveryHeart Movement where the goal is to have our generation met and sent by the love of JESUS. I work on our media team full time and help the Gospel go forth through our social media, livestream events, and photography. I also train up our college campus ministries across the country to equip them on how to mobilize with media. It is probably my favorite part of my job! The last thing I work with is our yearly summer outreach program called EveryHeart Tours. I get to lead a team to a region of the United States every summer to share the Gospel with the city, serve the local church, and equip the church on how to evangelize in their city. Being a full-time missionary is something I never thought I would be called to be, but it has been the most wonderful job I have ever had!
